Every month we count which AI skills, roles and tools employers in the Netherlands and Belgium ask for in their job postings, nationally and in ten sectors.
How many Dutch job postings mention AI, every month since 2019, with a linear regression over the last 12 months projected one month ahead. The shaded band is the 90% prediction interval.
Share of all job postings that mention AI, monthly average. Source: Indeed Hiring Lab AI tracker (CC BY 4.0), covering the Netherlands and other countries, not Belgium. Our own monitor below counts specific skills and started in September 2026.
The same idea for each AI skill, based on our own monthly measurements. Per 1,000 postings, so a busier or quieter job market does not distort the trend.
Two global studies put our Dutch numbers in context: the World Economic Forum asked over 1,000 employers what changes by 2030, PwC analysed over one billion job ads.
First: how many job postings in each sector mention AI at all. Then, per skill: how many postings out of every 1,000 in that sector ask for it. The redder the cell, the more often the skill is asked for. Hover a cell for details.

All live job postings in the Netherlands and Belgium, measured at the start of each month.
Each skill is counted with one fixed English key phrase, so months and countries stay comparable. Roles are counted on job title.
Soft skills are measured within postings that mention AI, so they show what employers expect next to the technology.
The vacancy data is only half the picture. Every year we also run in-depth interviews with HR, L&D and business leaders and a survey among organisations, published in our report.
The monitor shows what employers ask for. The yearly survey shows what organisations actually train.
